Infant and Toddler Mental Health

Infants and toddlers have unique nonverbal ways of expressing themselves and their capacities to feel, to form close and secure relationships, and to explore the environment. Parents who have struggled connecting with their infant and/or are seeking further ways to increase connectivity and developmental understanding with their infant would benefit from services. Some other experiences that could negatively impact infants include: abuse, neglect, stress in the home, divorce, observed violence, or parental absence (incarceration, military deployment, hospitalization, etc.). Our counselors use a mix of play and parenting education and therapy to support parents in building connection and attachment with their child.
