MYLES NELSON, MASTERS IN SOCIAL WORK, LICENCED MASTERS SOCIAL WORKER
Myles is a hardworking and passionate therapist who has spent the last six years working in mental health. Myles has a passion for working with youth and young adults to overcome a variety of mental health issues including addiction, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Complex trauma, and more. Myles is EMDR trained and is currently utilizing EMDR with clients each week to help them overcome trauma.
Myles obtained a bachelor’s degree in social work from Northern Arizona University and a Masters in Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University, with a specialization in clinical mental health and addiction. Myles has spent a majority of his professional career working with people recovering from substance use and working with teens.
In addition to counseling, Myles also manages the mobile crisis teams in Idaho. Myles has a passion and dedication to working in acute crisis situations, helping clients experiencing psychosis, suicidal ideations, and other acute conditions.
Outside of professional life, Myles spends time with his wife and two rescue dogs (who keep him very busy) going for walks, the dog park, snowboarding, and volunteering with LGBTQ+ youth in the Treasure Valley.
