Sheila Weaver, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Advanced Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor

I integrate evidence-based techniques and a humanistic, person-centered approach to support healing and growth. Bringing authenticity, respect, and humor into my therapeutic approach, I commonly utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  Additionally, I am actively exploring expressive therapy techniques to foster creativity and learning.

My journey in social work began with a focus on child protection and substance use, where I witnessed firsthand the profound impact of trauma and oppression on individuals and families. This experience strengthened my commitment to supporting vulnerable populations and advocating for systems that promote empowerment and justice.

I hold a Master and Bachelor of Social Work from Boise State University, with a minor in Gerontology and a certificate in Dispute Resolution. My academic pursuits have equipped me with a respect for the complexities of human behavior and the dynamics of interpersonal relationships.

Whether working with kinship caregivers, teens navigating the transition to adulthood, or children adapting to their environment, I am dedicated to cultivating environments where everyone has the opportunity to flourish.

Your story matters, and I am excited to hear yours.
